Can the AI system actually function without it, or does it depend on tribal knowledge that hasn’t been encoded?
What is the rebuild cost if this doesn’t work? Model the boomerang scenario explicitly. If you need to rebuild this capacity in 12 months, what does that cost? Severance plus agency fees plus training time plus the productivity gap. That number belongs in the business case.
Is this augmentation or substitution?
